Orpheus
& Eurydice

This is a personal project in which I illustrate one of my favourite Greek tragedies, the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. The themes and scenes in this series are inspired by the Western neo-classical album Orphée by Jóhann Jóhannsson (1969-2018), an artist deeply influenced by Greek mythology. His music adds a profound layer of complexity to the original myth, enriching it in ways that words alone cannot fully capture.

Children and
Monsters

A theme very close to me, the Children and Monsters series resides on the power of a child's imagination and how it takes them to places which we as adult can only dream of revisiting. The monsters resemble our fears and at the same time act as answers to our questions. It’s a stereotype to consider a creature dangerous. But are they really? In darkness our instincts and our fears help us save ourselves. Our egos don’t. Hence the scale of the monster and the child represents that concept. Our innermost emotions are much larger than life and that they’ll always be there to help us out.

Storybooks
& Fantasy

My illustrations are inspired by the storybooks and fantasy worlds I've enjoyed over the years. The magical landscapes, mythical creatures, and whimsical tales sparked my imagination, and I've been excited to reinterpret them in my own style. Each piece is my way of reimagining those fantastical elements, bringing them to life with a personal twist.
